Endovascular Forum Relaunched as Interventional and Vascular Medicine Forum to Provide Interventional and Vascular Specialists an Enhanced Collaborative Vehicle for Discussion, Debate, and Education.
Boston, MA—(May 15, 2002) The Endovascular Forum, an interactive web community for active case discussion among interventional and vascular specialists, has been relaunched as the Interventional and Vascular Medicine Forum (IVMF). Originally founded in 1996, the IVMF now offers enhanced features and functionality to improve the participant’s experience. These upgrades include highly interactive and participatory case studies presented and analyzed by leading interventional radiologists, vascular surgeons, and vascular medical specialists; timely editorials authored by recognized thought leaders; moderated peer to peer topic-focused discussions; and an “ask the expert” column, among others. Tactically, IVMF has been designed to reflect the mission-critical nature of the content, and engineered to make site navigation as easy and intuitive as possible. Participants are encouraged to submit their own case studies to the IVMF, where they may be posted and featured for peer debate and review. The IVMF has a world class medical advisory board lead by Co-Chair Alan B. Lumsden, MB, ChB, Co-Chair Michael R. Jaff, DO, FACP, FACC, and original Co-Founder Barry T. Katzen, MD, FACR, FACC. According to Dr. Katzen, “The IVMF was founded as an interactive vehicle that allows real world physicians to discuss real world issues as they relate to the real world practice of medicine. What has always appealed to me about the forum is its interactive focus. The forum allows physicians who otherwise would never get a chance to interact with each other to do so within a physician-driven, relevant and real-time environment.”
For more information about the site, case study submittal requirements, or to register for the IVMF, log onto www.IVMF.org. Membership in the IVMF is free.
