PES 2.0 is the point-of-care patient education application within NorthPoint Domain's accelerator suites that provides physicians and staff the opportunity to prescribe up-to-date, patient-focused information on specific conditions, diagnostic tests, and treatment options. Post care and after care health education, which are germane to a patient's specific ailment, is included in the release of PES 2.0, affording medical specialty practices and their patients the ability to access a library of health and wellness articles focusing on issues such as healthy eating habits, stress management, smoking cessation, exercise benefits and coping with disease.

Physician Extender Software 2.0 is the first major upgrade to the product since its initial launch in 2001. "Our PES 2.0 product directly addresses patient literacy concerns as well as the growing need to educate and communicate with the patient at the point of care," said Peter M. PES 2.0 gives users the ability to send patient education and Hot Topic articles electronically via email, affording patients the opportunity to share information with family, friends, and/or caregivers. In addition, there is an increased emphasis on the health and wellness center available to all patients.
